Question: Mobil 1 15W-50 Container Size and Mobil 1 5W-50 Availability As of autumn 2007, I could buy 5-quart jugs of Mobil 1 15W-50 at Wal-Mart. Now, in June 2008, I can only seem to find 1-quart bottles at Wal-Mart. Has this size been discontinued in this grade? Also, when was Mobil 1 5W-50 discontinued? That's what Lotus recommended for my 1988 Esprit Turbo. Seems most owners now use 15W-50. -- Reed Figley, Richland, WA Answer: Mobil 1 15W-50 is still available at Wal-Mart in 5-quart jugs; please check with your local store again.  Mobil 1 5W-50 is not discontinued either but it’s not available at retail, only at car dealers.
