Question:
Need for a Shortened First Drain Interval After Switching to Mobil 1 Extended Performance?
I changed to Mobil 1 Extended in my 2006 Sienna van. The original oil had 1,000 miles on it. Should I change my oil before 15,000 miles because some of the original oil residue could have stayed in the motor when I changed the oil? The oil pan was empty and I installed a new extended oil filter. It was a Fram 7500 mile filter.

Answer:
No, there is no need to flush your engine once you start using Mobil 1 Extended Performance.  However, to maintain your warranty coverage, we recommend you follow the oil change interval recommended by Toyota.  Once you are out of warranty, you can go the full 15,000 miles.
