Question:
Any Harm Switching On and Off of a High Mileage Motor Oil?
I've been using Mobil Clean 5000 in my V8 Triton for the last 5 or so oil changes. I'm about to hit 100,000 miles so today I put in Mobil Clean High Mileage. I run 10W-30. Do you think switching back to High Mileage will hurt? I ran High Mileage from like 68,000-87,000 miles, then went with Mobil 1 Clean 5000 until now.
-- Cody McGee, San Antonio, TX
Answer:
Switching back to Mobil Clean High Mileage will not hurt.  Our high mileage products will provide additional protection to help prevent leaks which could be more frequent in higher mileage engines.
