| | This is the first car that I have owned that I absolutely love. I drive this car everyday, and very aggressively. Since I bought the car I have put H&R lowering springs on it, a truss strut brace, 17" R wheels and a tuned ECU (engine control unit).
My car is driven very hard every time I get in it. Having a forced induction motor means that a high quality oil is very important. Both the engine and the turbo work very hard non-stop and need the proper lubrication to prevent wear and tear. The first owner was using Castrol GTX and/or any other bulk oil. I switched to Mobil 1 Extended Performance 10W-30 as soon as I purchased the car and started boosting the performance. I have noticed a huge difference on turbo blow-by, as well as proper lubrication and cooling of the turbo. I was burning about a quart of oil every 1,000 miles before I switched to Mobil 1. Since the switch I barely burn a drop. I work as a Volvo and BMW technician and I recommend Mobil 1 oils to all of my performance-oriented customers. Mobil 1 oil keeps my engine running smoothly and efficiently every spin of the tires!
