| | I originally bought this car with a motor that needed to be replaced. It was my intent from the start that this 240SX was going to be my project/weekend track/drift car. So the first thing after I picked up the chassis, I swapped the CA18DET 1.8 liter turbo engine from a Nissan 180SX. Over the years the car has had a nice grip of parts added to it.
Mobil 1 oil has definitely made a difference over the years. When I first picked up my motorset it was in good shape but had some sludge and the head looked like the previous owner didn't maintain the engine as good as they could have: "lack of oil changes". I recently installed some new valve cover gaskets, and the head and camshafts looked like brand new again. I run Mobil 1 10W-30 in the winter and 15W-50 in the summer and it runs like butter. I can take it to drift and autox events and not have to worry about lack of lubrication or seizing my motor due to the protection that Mobil 1 provides.
