| | During the several years that I've owned this classic old Benz, it has logged over 40,000 all-season miles touring New England's mountains, countryside and coastline. On a steady diet of Mobil 1, the car's engine performed flawlessly throughout. The engine is all original with no rebuilds of any kind. (I did, however, change the spark plugs recently but only because I was beginning to feel guilty!)
I don't know if it's just a great car of if it's simply been lubricated with a great oil - probably a combination of both. This car takes 8½ quarts of oil, but the extra dollar or two per change for using the best oil certainly has proven to be a wise investment. My old Mercedes and I both thank you, Mobil 1.
