| | My car is 1 of 146 ever made in Sea Mist Green. I have had H&R lowering springs installed and some other light mods but the springs are my favorite. She always gets looks at our local "PT" meets and with the 240 hp SRT-4 motor under, she can really fly.
When I first bought the car it had bulk ?? whatever oil in it since it was a used car. Because it was a turbo, I changed it at 3,000 miles to see what the oil looked like. Well, it was black, very black and thick. So I put Mobil 1 0W-30 in it since it will flow better at startup to prevent any turbo damage, and I used the Factory Mopar filter on it. My next tank of gas yielded about a 1 mpg gain with no change in driving style. Some 3,000 miles later I pulled the filter to see what the oil looked like and it was still as clean as the day I put it in so I changed the filter and topped the oil. Another 3,000 miles later I pulled the filter and it was still clear -- darker but still clear. After another 3,000 miles and another filter check -- now that 9,000 miles had gone by it was time to change the oil (now a very dark amber color; held up great). I drained a warm motor and it was thick, no sludge, just off-color Mobil 1. The mileage gain and cleaner oil lets me know that my turbo is being protected, which means my entire engine is being protected.
