| | I delivered newspapers for my money and my dad said he would match the money I had. At 15 years old I found this old car in a backyard in Rosamond, California. I poured in some ATF, jumped the battery, and she fired up.
The first order of business was a transmission overhaul. I paid $65 bucks for the tranny work. It didn't have the right wheels for a Sports Roadster so they were next. Then paint, upholstery and a new top, and she was ready to go. I drove her to college and the only time she let me down was when I had two flat tires in one day.
Ford built only 1450 Sports Roadsters with the 76B model listing and this is one of them. The 390CID roars like a muscle car but looks so good doing it.
Mostly I parade her for local dignitaries and that is when I truly appreciate the Mobil 1 oil, as idling real slow and waving at the crowd takes a toll on her.
