It has been a field of dreams owning this car. I had a '55 while in high
school, and had to sell it after marriage and our first child. When the baby
turned 26 years old, this car was bought. It's been completely overhauled, top
to bottom, with a 1972 350 engine built to run. My car tag reads "MYPCOHVN"
which stands for "My Piece of Heaven." I drive all I can when the sun is
shining. I've put 7,500 miles on the engine since it came out of the shop.
When I first got the car out of the engine shop, I ran regular oil. After the
first couple of thousand miles, I switched to synthetics and could immediately
tell the difference. The engine felt as if it had gained several hundred more
RPM with nothing else having changed on the car. I have never looked back on
my move to synthetics. I also own a '67 GMC pickup with a rebuilt 327 and I
also switched to synthetics with this vehicle. "What a difference" is all I
can say to anyone who has not switched. I never worry about startups now even
when the vehicle has not been started for several weeks.
