| | My car is a 2005 Ford Mustang. I fell in love with this car when I started to see it advertised on TV and print media in 2004. I decided that I just didn't want this car, I needed it. After I finally saved enough money for a significant down payment, I went to my dealer and told them to put one on order for me. Four months later, I finally took delivery. Since that day in March 2005, I have been adding to its performance and appearance factors. The first major modification I made was bigger wheels and tires. After I had more contact with the road, I decided that a Vortech supercharging system was in order, which now puts down around 300 hp and lb./ft. of torque. Shortly thereafter a coil-over suspension was installed, dropping the car 1 inch in the front and 1 ¼ inches in the rear. Recently, a new ring and pinion set with a positive differential was installed, and after a recent hail storm, a new hood now graces her.
After the supercharger was installed, I was told that I should switch to synthetic oil. A few of my friends and coworkers recommended everything under the sun in terms of what brand to use. After I did some research of my own, I noticed that the predominant brand of oil used by the big guys in the industry was Mobil 1. I decided to give it a try, and I am glad I did. My engine seems to rev more freely and I don't have to worry about my supercharger seizing. Thanks Mobil 1!
