I purchased this car new 13 years ago. I have used Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil
the entire time since that is the same oil I use in my two other cars. I use
the Corolla as primarily a commute vehicle to go back and forth to work with a
mix of a lot of freeway driving and a great deal of stop-and-go traffic.
Though the car is old it still runs like new. I change the oil on a regular
basis, and with the exception of doing some general maintenance on the car
such as a new clutch and timing belt, everything else on the car is still
original and running as good as the day I purchased it. My friends are all now
using Mobil 1 synthetic oils for their cars because they can't believe how
long my older car has kept running.
