- NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN: THE PROMOTION IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF, AND CURRENTLY RESIDING WITHIN, THE UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (EXCLUDING RESIDENTS OF MARYLAND, NEW JERSEY AND THE US TERRITORIES; Maryland and New Jersey have laws or regulations relating to promotions conducted in conjunction with the retail motor fuel industry. - THE PROMOTION: ExxonMobil Lubricants & Petroleum Specialties Company, a division of Exxon Mobil Corporation (“Sponsor”), will conduct one sweepstakes and a photo essay contest during the period from January 1, 2008 through January 31, 2009 (the “Entry Period”): (1) a Weekly Sweepstakes with Weekly drawings from all entrants who have correctly answered the Question of the Week; and (2) a monthly Photo Essay Contest. An additional sweepstakes may be added during 2008.
- TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES: You can enter the two Sweepstakes during the Entry Period either (1) on-line or (2) by first class mail. (1) On-line entry method: To enter the Sweepstakes on-line you must go to www.mobiloil.com and become a registered user of the site. After completing registration you can correctly answer the Question of the Week to be automatically entered into the Weekly Sweepstakes. If you are already a registered user of the site, you simply have to log onto the site, enter your registered user name and password and you can immediately answer the Question of the Week. (2) Mail-in entry method: To enter by mail and without registering for the site or answering any questions, you must print your name and address (including city, state, and zip code), age, email address (if you have one), day and evening phone numbers and the drawing you wish to be entered for, the Weekly Drawing, on a plain piece of 3” x 5” paper and mail your entry in a (#10) envelope to: TSE Sports & Entertainment / Mobil, PO Box 3003, JAF Station, New York, NY 10116. One entry per outer mailing envelope and each envelope must be mailed separately. Do not send correspondence, comments or questions to this address. Proof of mailing shall not be considered proof of delivery or receipt. No mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. All entries become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Limit one (1) entry per Weekly Drawing, irrespective of method of entry. Mail-in entries for the Sweepstakes must be postmarked and received, and online entries must be received by the dates indicated in the chart below:

- TO ENTER THE PHOTO ESSAY CONTEST: You can enter the Photo Essay Contest (Performance Gallery) during the Entry Period either (1) on-line or (2) by first class mail. (1) On-line entry method: To enter the Photo Essay Contest on-line you must first go to www.mobiloil.com and become a registered user of the site. Then you must complete the on-line Photo Essay Contest entry form (including an essay from you on “Why Mobil 1 or Mobil motor oils make a difference” and an upload of a photograph of your personal vehicle or a vehicle that you are responsible for maintaining), complete and accept the on-line release form and submit your entry. There are no minimum or maximum word requirements for the testimonial. Any personal vehicle, make or model is acceptable. (2) Mail-in entry method: To enter the monthly Photo Essay Contest by mail click here to print out the online release form. Then, complete (circle the "I Agree" button) and sign the release form and send it in an envelope, along with the printed photograph of your vehicle or a vehicle that you are responsible for maintaining, your written essay on “Why Mobil 1 or Mobil motor oils make a difference” and a plain piece of 3” x 5” paper on which you have written your name and address (including city, state, and zip code), age, e-mail address (if you have one), day and evening phone numbers, to ExxonMobil Photo Essay Contest, 3225 Gallows Road 6C0624, Fairfax, VA 22037. Proof of mailing shall not be considered proof of delivery or receipt. All entries become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. - SWEEPSTAKES DRAWINGS: (1) Three (3) Weekly Prize Winners will be selected each week from a random drawing by TSE Sports & Entertainment, an independent agency, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes, from all eligible entries received. The drawings will be held on the dates indicated on the chart above. Weekly winners will be notified by email or US mail. Limit one (1) prize per person, family or household per calendar year. (2) One (1) Monthly Prize Winner will be selected each month from a random drawing from all eligible entries. The drawings will be held on the dates indicated on the chart above. - JUDGING OF PHOTO ESSAY CONTEST: Each month a winner will be chosen among eligible Photo Essay Contest entries for that month by a panel of qualified judges, whose interpretation of the rules and decisions are final and binding in all matters pertaining to this Contest. Winner will be notified by email or by U.S. mail and his or her name will appear on the web site in the following month. The photograph and essay for all eligible entries will be judged based on the following criteria: a) appropriateness to subject matter (65%), b) originality (5%), c) clearness of writing and grammar in the essay (15%) and d) image/photo quality and appropriateness (15%).The highest scoring entries will be selected as the winners. In the event of a tie, the entries involved will be re-judged by an additional qualified judge who will serve as a tiebreaker, and who will judge the entries according to the criteria listed above.
- SWEEPSTAKES PRIZES: Three (3) Question of the Week prizes will be awarded in each Weekly Drawing. Each Question of the Week prize winner will receive a Mobil 1 Signature Cap. ARV of each weekly prize: $13.00. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
- PHOTO ESSAY CONTEST PRIZE: Each month, one (1) winner will receive three (3) cases of Mobil 1 or Mobil motor oil of their choice, and two (2) runner-ups will receive a Mobil 1 Racing polo shirt. Total ARV of all Photo Essay Contest Prizes: $3,290. Total ARV of all prizes for Sweepstakes and Photo Essay Contest is $5,992. Certain restrictions may apply.
- ELIGIBILITY: Employees, officers and directors (and their immediate families and those living in their same households) of Sponsor and any of their affiliate companies, parents, subsidiaries, participating retailers, advertising, judging and promotion agencies are not eligible. Organizations will not be eligible to win a prize. This Sweepstakes and Photo Essay Contest are governed by U.S. law and are subject to all federal, state and local laws. Void where prohibited.
- GENERAL CONDITIONS: Taxes on prizes and any other expenses not explicitly stated herein are the sole responsibility of the winners. Specifics of all Prizes are in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Prizes are not transferable and may not be assigned. Certain prizes may not be available in all sizes. No prize or cash substitutes allowed except by Sponsor due to prize unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded as determined solely by the Sponsor. If any prize notification is returned as nondeliverable, or if a Sweepstakes entrant fails to comply with any portion of these Official Rules (including all eligibility requirements) prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
By participating in the Sweepstakes or Photo Essay Contest, entrants agree that Sponsor, its affiliates, parents, subsidiaries, participating retailers, advertising, judging and promotion agencies and their respective officers, directors, and employees (collectively, “Releasees”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrant from and against any and all claims, actions, and/or liability for, any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind, including, without limitation, death, disability, and/or loss of property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize awarded or participation in this Sweepstakes or participation in any Sweepstakes or prize related activity. Releasees are not responsible for illegible, lost, late, damaged, incomplete, stolen, postage-due or misdirected mail or entries, or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer transmissions or technical failure, jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions, Internet/Web site/ISP/accessibility or other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic or for hardware or software program malfunctions, failures or difficulties. Any person found tampering with or abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes or Photo Essay Contest or corrupting or impairing the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Sweepstakes or Photo Essay Contest, as solely determined by the judges, will be disqualified. Moreover, in the event any portion of this Sweepstakes is compromised by virus, bugs, nonauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor, which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper play or proper submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend or terminate the Sweepstakes or Photo Essay Contest and award prizes from entries received up to the time of termination or suspension. In the case of a dispute in connection with an entry submitted online, the prize will be awarded in the name of the authorized email account holder. Except where legally prohibited, entrants grant permission for Sponsor and those acting under its authority to use his/her name, photograph, voice and/or likeness, for advertising and/or publicity purposes without additional compensation, including posting their name on the web site.
- WINNER'S LIST: For a list of winners of the Sweepstakes and the Photo Essay Contest, hand print your name and complete address on a 3" x 5" card and mail in an envelope for receipt by January 31, 2009 to: TSE/Mobil Winners, PO Box 3003, JAF Station, New York, NY 10116. Requests received after February 15, 2009 will not be honored.
